TRADE NOTICE No.15/2010
Subject :- Constitution of Regional Advisory Committee for Organized Sector for the Central Excise & Service Tax, SSI- Sector and Public Grievance Redressal Committee cum Tax payer’s Committee inthe Customs , Central Excise Service Tax Commissionerate, Bhopal (M.P.) for the term of two years 2010-2011.
The Regional Advisory Committee for Organized Sector in the Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax,SSI- Sector and Public Grievance Redressal Committee cum Tax payer’s Committee in the Customs, Central Excise &Service Tax Commissionerate, Bhopal has been reconstituted for a term of two block years i.e. for 2010 and 2011.
The Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax Bhopal (M.P.) will be Ex-Officio Chairman of the above Committees and Assistant Commissioner (Tech) of Central Excise Hqrs. will be Secretary of the Committees. The composition of the Committees will be as follows:

Any member of the above Committees who is continuously absent for three meetings (without adequate reasons) will be deemed to have withdrawn from the Committee and his place will be filled by fresh nomination.
Functions:-
The functions of the above Committees will be purely advisory and the Committees are intended for resolving procedural difficulties of general nature. They may however discuss any matter including policy behind individual cases, but exclude individual cases.
No member other than the one already nominated can participate in the meetings.
Meetings of the Committee:-
The Committees will ordinarily meet once in three months or as often as the Chairman may decide. The meeting will be held at the Hqrs. of the Commissionerate or at some other Trade Centre in the Commissionerate, as decided.
TA/DA:-
TA/DA admissible to member of the Committees will be regulated in accordance with the order in force.
The Success of the Committees depends upon the attendance of the Members in the meeting and the procedural problems brought before the Committee for discussion and decision. It is, therefore, requested that the Trade Associations and Chambers whose representatives have been nominated to the Committee should ensure that their nominees invariably attend the meeting as and when scheduled and represent the problems concerning the Trade interests.
