SUBJECT / Kolling Institute Travel Awards and Beryl and Jack Jacobs Travel Awards 2015 Successful Applicants

The Kolling Institute would like to thank all applicants for their recent submissions for the Kolling Institute and the Beryl and Jack Jacobs Travel Awards. Forty-four (44) applications from 34 applicants were received for consideration in this round.

The applications were considered by an expert review panel and their recommendations submitted to the Strategic Research Performance and Development Committee, Kolling Institute for approval.

The Strategic Research Performance and Development Committee are pleased to endorse the recommendations of the convened review panel and it is with great pleasure that we congratulate the following successful recipients;

Dr Elizabeth Clarke, Murray Maxwell Laboratory of Biomechanics ($2000)

Dr Prabhjot Juneja, Department of Radiation Oncology ($2000)

·  Beryl and Jack Jacobs Travel Awards (Domestic)

Dr Jin Sun Park, Department of Neurogenetics ($1500)

Dr Premarani Sinnathurai, Department of Rheumatology ($1500)

·  Beryl and Jack Jacobs Travel Awards (International)

Francisco Schneuer, Clinical and Population Perinatal Health Research ($3000)

The recipients of the awards will be contacted directly by the Research Office.

The Strategic Research Performance and Development Committee will release another round of travel awards in 2015 and would like to encourage prospective candidates to review the organisational newsletters or the Kolling newsletter for announcements in the second half of 2015.

Results of the Vanderfield Memorial Trust Travel Award will be announced following endorsement from the RNSH Medical Association.
