Light + Building 2016: Möhlenhoff exhibits for the first time at the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology

OEM Alpha IP – the optimum entry-level solution for a networked home

Salzgitter, January 2016 – As an internationally active manufacturer of products and systems for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning sectors, Möhlenhoff will be exhibiting for the first time this year at Light + Building (13th to 18th March, 2016, Frankfurt am Main, Germany). Under the slogan "OEM for Smart Home Technology", the company will be presenting a number of new products at the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology – including the intelligent home automation system OEM Alpha IP. With this solution, Möhlenhoff is offering its OEM customers the ideal entry-level system for the emerging "Smart Home" market.

With Alpha IP, Möhlenhoff has worked together with eQ-3 AG, the European market leader for home automation, to develop a room-by-room temperature controller that generates valuable synergisms within the product portfolio. The control system uses the eQ-3 Homematic IP communication protocol, which is based on the IPv6 transmission standard. OEM Alpha IP offers users a number of valuable benefits: A higher quality home environment and greater comfort, outstanding reliability of operation and tamper protection, considerable potential energy savings and the guarantee of an investment that will prove its worth in the future. The system is easy to install and impressively simple to operate – even via smartphone when the user is away from home.

Alpha IP offers Möhlenhoff's OEM customers the ideal entry-level system for the growing "Smart Home" market. This intelligent system for the efficient, room-by-room temperature control of the entire indoor climate permits the future integration of new elements – for example security and intrusion protection systems or light and shade control. The result is a centralized, all-round smart home system that permits the convenient, reliable and efficient control of all functions. The networked home increases indoor comfort and security while simultaneously reducing energy costs.

And what is more, at Light + Building, Möhlenhoff will be exhibiting the OEM Alpha 2: system – a universal room-by-room temperature controller for heating and cooling applications. It is available as both a databus and radio-controlled variant and can be operated simply and quickly by the user from within the home network or over the Internet using a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Using Smart Home ready, the system can be easily integrated into an existing home automation system over an open XML interface. With the cabled OEM Alpha direct: system, it is possible to implement even complex room-by-room temperature control solutions economically and reliably. Visitors to the trade fair will also be able to see the OEM Actuator 5 series of thermal actuators. With power consumption of just one Watt, these are the most energy-efficient units of their type on the market. The Smart Valve Drive actuator for particularly small valve distances and Möhlenhoff's first motoric actuator, the Motoric Valve Drive, round off the product portfolio.
