OCCUPANCY INDICATOR LIGHTS

Tooshlights™ increase traffic flow in toiletrooms by letting guests “know where to go”. With Tooshlights, guests will be able to see which toilet compartments are latched without having to check each stall.

1.4MAINTENANCE MATERIAL SUBMITTALS

Tooshlights are durable and can last for years under normal use. If damaged due to vandalism or abuse, Modus Systems can quick-ship replacement units. The following can be retained, however, if building maintenance program requires attic stock for immediate replacement.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.1Existing toilet compartments

  1. Inspect condition of existing toilet compartments. Notify Architect of conditions that render existing compartments unsuitable for work of this Section. Do not proceed until rectified.
  2. Remove existing latch and keeper. [Provide removed parts to Owner.]
  3. Install patch plates if required to cover holes left by removed hardware and not concealed by new hardware.]

3.2INSTALLATION

  1. Install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Latch and Keeper: Install at height [to match that of removed hardware] [shown on Drawings] [required by ADA].
  3. Install light within operational zone of transmitter.
  4. Adjust to assure proper operation.

3.3START-UP AND DEMONSTRATION

  1. Demonstrate system operation in accordance with Division 01 requirements.

3.4CLEANING

  1. Protect work against damage. Repair or replace damaged components.
  2. Immediately before substantial completion, replace batteries that have lost their charge and clean exposed surfaces of light fixtures.
