Obtaining a Discount Voucher for CompTIA Certification Exams

1) Who is eligible for the discount voucher?
Any PGCC credit or non-credit student.
2) How do I obtain a voucher?
The process is designed to eliminate the possibility and perception of possible credit card fraud or sale of vouchers. CompTIA refers to this type of voucher as an “E2C” voucher.

The student will come to campus and the PGCC representative will make a telephone call to CompTIA and give them the college’s CompTIA ID. The phone call must be made during CompTIA’s business hours, which are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern time. During the call, we will establish which test will be taken and the price. The PGCC representative will then turn the phone over to the student to provide debit/credit card information to CompTIA. The voucher will then get emailed to PGCC, and in turn to the student. The guaranteed maximum turnaround time for this is 48 hours, although it will generally be much faster.
3) Where can I use the voucher once I have obtained it?
The voucher can be used at any Pearson Vue Testing Center, including the one at PGCC. We prefer that students use the PGCC testing center, but realize that other testing centers may be more convenient or have more hours open. To locate a Pearson Vue Testing Center, go to www.vue.com.
4) Do I need to do anything special when I set up my appointment at the Pearson Vue Testing Center?
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to note that when you use a discounted voucher, you need to register for the E2C version of the test. This version will have a different exam code ! The discounted codes are given in the list of prices below.
5) How long is the voucher good for?
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
6) What if I decide not to take the certification exam? Can I give or sell the voucher to another person?
Vouchers are not transferable. Attempting to transfer the voucher to another person violates the agreement with CompTIA and is fraud.
7) What is the cost of the voucher?

8) This is a good deal for the students – does PGCC want anything in return?
When a student uses the discount voucher program, the college expects that the student will tell us the results of the exam.
