GERRY FITZPATRICK

Three years ago Gerry came to visit our VVA Chapter 920 with his wife at the Denton Armory. Those who were there will remember him in that he was blind. He also gave us a Christmas ornament that is being kept with chapter materials, it will be used at our future meeting place. He was so impressed with VVA920 that he transferred his Virginia chapter VVA Life membership to VVA920. He also bought one of our vests. His son found my VVA card at his father’s house and called me to inform VVA920 of Gerry’s passing. His son and I talked for close to a half hour as he was not familiar with his Dad's Denton experience. Gerry Fitzpatrick was a true veteran and fought hard for veterans rights. He will be missed.
