Maintenance work

Free Holme valley review paper – advertise food bank collection point / Anne to pass Michelle the details of the contact
Patient Access – repeat prescriptions, appointment bookings. Also have access to detailed coded entries. Access medical records, portal where you can see demographics, allergies, medication, detailed coded – long term condition, diagnosis – All you can see is the coded entry for example COPD, values of results, vaccination history. No access yet to full records whereby you can see free text. You won’t see this without applying separately. GP’s can decide from what date patients have access from seeing their notes.
Slight problem re-registering patients who have already been signed up for repeat prescriptions patients have to contact the surgery to have their pin reset.
Dementia Friendly week – participating 16th May for a week, national campaign – people coming in

HRI update –consultation dates are now out – A discussion was had within the group about the impact. / Agenda for next meeting
Slaithwaite update –ongoing – Cuts October didn’t appear, more cuts 1st April
Any other business
  • NHS England – 3 things for next year for PPG
  • Web GP – Dr Ward showed a presentation on how econsult would work. This went down very well and the group thought that this was a good idea but acknowledged that this may not be for everyone.
  • Carers count – Michelle explained some initiatives with regard to carers count meeting she had attended earlier in the day and suggested 6 weekly carers coffee morning run by PPG members at oaklands. We could arrange speakers to come in to talk to the carers, offer a room for discussions with the speaker
