.
- OA Results System
- Event Categories – need descriptions as some of the minor ones may not be being used correctly
- NSW are encouraging clubs to load results
- Import files from OE/MT– do not edit in Excel as this causes errors in the upload, edit in Notepad or in the source and re-export to a “csv” if data needs to be modified
- Some issues with club names being assigned to competitors if import file is TAB delimited vs “csv”
- Photo system – not being used yet and needs further development. Could function be added to be available multiple sets of photos be added to an event and linked to it
- OA Web Sites and Web Site issues
- SocialFX support is often not satisfactory, NSW have not received timely response to problems
- SocialFX have not changed their own web site for a while, and it has little useful Help information. Some basic tips e.g. adding photo captions are not widely known
- Need to add a Help page with “tips” on websites (? Can this be shared between sites)
- Should share “tips” between states, use contacts as follows
- Bill Jones – ACT
- Alex Davey – NSW
- Bruce Arthur – Vic
- Cath Chalmers – NSW
- Robin Uppill – SA
- One useful feature would be a Member’s only page e.g. for Contacts, minutes, technical issues, newsletters. The Qld site has this feature.
- On line entries
- Transition Zone – being used by ACT
- QLD System – used for major events, MTBO events. Has member login which retrieves details, payment is separate. They assign one of several bank accounts for payments to be made and rotate these between events. “Bank” provides these accounts without charges.
- Aus Champs 2009 – system is still being developed
- SPORTident Equipment
- SI Card and control units compatibility issues – organisers need to be aware and should attempt to use BSF7/8 units only for major events
- QLD are now selling SI Card 9
- SA have still purchased SI Card 5
- NSW has spent $20,000 upgrading SI equipment
- Other Business
- Robin Uppill is not re-standing as chair of this committee
