NWT, Microsoft® and HP Jointly Offer Hong Kong’s Most Comprehensive

Managed E-Mail Solution – “NWT Hosted Exchange”

(8 June 2006, Hong Kong) New World Telecommunications Limited (“NWT”) today announced the teaming up with Microsoft® Corporation (“Microsoft®”) and Hewlett-Packard HK SAR Ltd. (“HP”) to bring to Hong Kong enterprises the most comprehensive managed e-mail solution.

Named “NWT Hosted Exchange”, the solution employs Microsoft®’s hosted software Exchange 2003 with Direct Push E-mail service and is powered by HP technology, including servers, PDA phones, notebooks and printers, catering to the needs of business executives in the entire pipeline of e-mail communication.

The teaming up of these three industry leaders ensures that the “NWT Hosted Exchange” service will be comprehensively equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and e-mail software, with all-round infrastructure support.

Enterprises will enjoy enhanced scalability in system upgrading, higher security and greater mobility, all at very affordable monthly fees.

“NWT is delighted and proud to join hands with two global giants in providing our customers with the best service available anywhere,” said York Mok, Chief Operating Officer at NWT.

“With the strong support from Microsoft® and HP, our service provides a host of benefits – scalability, mobility, security and cost-effectiveness. In addition, the novel function of Direct Push E-mail adds significant value to this service, and I am sure our customers will find it an attractive bonus,” Mr Mok added.

Adam Anger, Senior Director of Business & Marketing Organization, Microsoft® said, “Customers’ reception to the newly introduced function of Direct Push E-mail has been overwhelming, and this bodes well for hosting exchange services like ‘NWT Hosted Exchange’.”

“With the scheduled launch of Exchange Server 2007 at the end of this year, ‘NWT Hosted Exchange’ will enjoy another competitive edge as customers will immediately enjoy this service upgrade without having to spend big money to upgrade their own server,” Mr Anger continued.

Fred Sheu, Marketing Director, Technology Solutions Group, HP Hong Kong said, “We are glad to be part of this very meaningful service and to contribute to its stability and scalability.”

“We have great confidence that our cooperative effort with NWT and Microsoft® will provide customers with the most reliable service package they can get in the market,” he asserted.

About “NWT Hosted Exchange”

“NWT Hosted Exchange” is now the most comprehensive managed e-mail solution with ultimate scalability, security, stability and mobility for enterprises and mobile executives. The new service package comprises:

·  Hosting e-mail service

·  Mobile e-mail service

·  HP PDA phone, notebook and printer

The service stores every e-mail, contact list and calendar item on the exchange server in the NWT data centre. Stored data can be easily retrieved from the back-up tapes and restored into the customer’s system in the event of corruption of the customer’s personal computer, notebook and PDA phone. This substantially reduces the risk of losing critical business information.

In addition, this service also enables colleagues within a company to work with greater productivity through shared calendars and public folders.

Again, this service allows users to access e-mail and personal calendars, and to do group scheduling and collaboration applications through a web browser from any PC or PDA phone anywhere. Mobile users benefit significantly with this high level of availability.
