SECRETARY’S REPORT

7 kids for cats for March

Retrieving phone messages off phone system

Helping Christina with database entry & 4-zip lookup

Working with Lisa on strategy plan

  • Met with Lisa and Chemyn last Friday night and came up with some thoughts.

TREASURY REPORT

Looks like we sent about $460K in tax receipts to our contributors

Comparing year over year for Aril 1 – May 10

  • We had an increase of 8% in gross profit or $5K
  • Cost of food was down year over year by 63%, might just be that we paid an extra bill last year
  • Cost of total animal care, which includes food, was down 18% or $10K
  • Over all we had a year over year increase of almost 300% or $19K in net income

Items that need to be researched:

  • Looks like we had a loss on merchandise and soda, need to figure out what is happening and how it’s being tracked, doesn’t make sense that this would be happening.
  • I thought from the discussions that we made closer to $16K for Easter Egg Hunt, looks like $11K from the quick books report?
  • Wages increased year over year but payroll taxes decreased?

Other General Items: Vicky and I put together a budget for the 2013-2014 period, we used an assumption of 10% increase where applicable.

Per Vicky - even though the QB report says $11K for Easter it probablydoes not included the $3K that Jodi's Mom donated. That would be $14Kso there would still be $2K that needs to be found probably put inwrong category. She will need to look at it with Christina. The moneyfrom Jodi's mom was called a donation, not income for Easter Egg Hunt.
