Dear Residents of Mark Road, St Stephen’s Road, Hester Close & Thistledown Drive,
PROPOSAL FOR NEW BUILDING – ALTCAR TRAINING CAMP
As Chief Executive of The North West of England & The Isle of Man Reserve Forces’ & Cadets’ Association (NW RFCA), I am writing on behalf of the Association to inform you of our intention to submit a planning application for a new building within the boundary of Altcar Training Camp.
Our proposal is for a new Headquarters for this Association to replace our current, aging offices which are located in Aigburth, Liverpool. The proposal comprises a two-story office building located near the southern boundary of Altcar Training Camp, not far from the main entrance. Our aspiration is for a modern, sustainable and eco-friendly building (footprint c400sq metres) with an associated car park (footprint c600sq metres) which will provide an enduring base for our ongoing work in support of the Reserve Forces and Cadet organisations in the region. If our application is successful we hope that construction will begin in 2018.
As a result of this move, we would like to invite you to a briefing session which will in the form of an informal coffee/tea briefing where I and representatives of the Association will be on hand to discuss our plans.
There will be two sessions. The briefing sessions will take place at the Hightown St Stephen’s Church Hall on Saturday 9 September 2017, and you are welcome to attend either the 0930-1030 hours or 1100-1200 hours briefing. As a matter of courtesy, we will be inviting all Hightown residents – through Facebook and the Parish Council website.
