Professional Pediatric Home Care, Inc. (PPHC) iscurrently recruiting for an experienced nurse manager to lead our growing Southern Colorado operation. The Director of Clinical Services, Southern Colorado (DoCS) provides supervision of home care services to patients in their place of residence and strives to provide the highest quality of care.

Professional Pediatric Home Care (PPHC) is Colorado’s leading provider of pediatric home-based, private duty nursing (PDN) and therapy, established in 1979 to provide highly skilled pediatric nursing, occupational, physical and speech therapy care for children in combination and coordination with other primary care and specialty care providers. Our pediatric staff specializes in delivering comprehensive, collaborative,multi-disciplinary and family centered care for infants, children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses and needs from acute nursing care to short-term therapies. PPHC is licensed by the State of Colorado, ACHC accredited and Medicare/Medicaid certified.

The Director of Clinical Services, Southern Colorado (DoCS):

·  Participates in all activities relevant to the professional services furnished, including the development of qualifications and the assignment of personnel.

·  Is responsible for the coordination of interdisciplinary team services in the Southern Colorado region.

·  Assists the Administrator and Director of Accountable Care with the Agency’s ongoing Quality Management (QM) program. Assists with the overall development and implementation of the QM plan, the identification of goals related to patient outcomes and coordinating, participating, and reporting of activities and outcomes results.

·  Consults with the Nursing Supervisors in determining a staffing pattern which will accomplish stated objectives and promote a maximum level of utilization of patient care personnel.

·  Is responsible for the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures which meet Medicare, Medicaid, Accrediting Organization, and federal, state and local laws.

·  Supervises the development of standards which ensure safe and therapeutically effective service to patient/family.

·  Is responsible torecruit, hire, train, coach, encourage, evaluateanddiscipline personnel.

·  Must be able and willingto perform nursing functions in times of staff shortage.

Qualified candidates will have graduated from an approved school of professional nursing and possess a current licensein the state in which practicing. A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. In addition, candidates should have at least two years healthcare supervision experience with at least one year of supervisory experience in home care or a closely related service and two years of home health nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics. The successful candidate must understand and support the philosophy and goals of the agency.
