NOVEMBER 2017 THROUGH APRIL 2018 SNOW REMOVAL TENDER

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

Northern Lights School Division No. 113 invites tenders for snow clearing at our facilities in Cumberland House, on an as-required basis. Interested bidders are invited to submit their tender on the attached 2017 – 2018 Snow Removal Tender form showing tender prices for snow removal, beginning November 1, 2017.

The areas to be cleared of snow are as follows:

Ø  Bus lanes and staff parking at the school as required to accommodate staff and students arriving at 8:15 a.m.

Ø  Frequency of snow removal is to be determined by the Maintenance Coordinator. The Maintenance Coordinator will approve additional areas or additional removals.

Ø  Additional snow removal may be required as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator during heavy snowfall or in spring to protect building from spring thaw water damage.

Tenders marked “Attention: Tom Harrington” and “Snow Removal Tender” will be received by the undersigned by any of the methods listed below until 12:00 p.m., October 20th, 2017. This will not be a public opening. NLSD reserves the right to reject any or all tenders. Lowest bid not necessarily accepted. Notification of results will be sent to all bidders the week of October 23rd, 2017.

The successful contractor must:

o  Submit a WCB (including principal) letter of good standing.

o  Submit proof of $2,000,000 liability insurance coverage in writing.

o  Obtain any business licenses that may be required by the community in which they are contracted to perform their services.

o  Err on the side of caution while snow clearing around staff, student body, buildings, structures, sidewalks and curbs, etc. The Contractor will be held liable for any and all repairs to property damaged by their equipment.
