SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
JOB TITLE: Senior Graphic Designer
DUTIES: Support customer brands as well as ASO brands by creating complex, original graphic designs and comprehensive layout concepts. Help to guide the work of other graphic designers and/or interns while playing a key role in project leadership and ownership within the Graphic Design team to uphold the Company’s standards of aesthetic and strategic impact. Perform design activities for a wide range of projects for private label and national brands for in North America (USA and Canada), including retail packaging, client presentations, marketing strategies, identity development, art direction, and new brand creation. Work with the Creative Services Manager and supporting departments to provide innovative design solutions which meet the conceptual art needs of our clients as well as internal needs. Create lead packaging and POP designs that effectively communicate product features and satisfy marketing goals. Support Client meetings with packaging, retail display, and merchandising concepts/mock-ups. Design packaging concepts for new sales initiatives as requested by Clients, Marketing, and Sales. Design and maintain in-house brands. Coordinate and prioritize design projects. Drive consensus between peers and other departments in a timely manner to facilitate completing design projects. Work with multiple departments including Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing to deliver design solutions and support new product launches. Design client presentations in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. Design ASO marketing materials and other branded items, including: in-store displays; magazine advertisements; brochures; trade show materials; redesign, develop, & maintain ASO’s corporate websites, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or in a closely related or equivalent field. 5 years of professional design experience in a corporate or agency environment. Experience to include: 5 years of experience with graphic design creation from concept to production; 5 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining corporate websites; 5 years of experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign); 5 years of experience developing websites using WordPress, HTML, and CSS coding; 3 years of experience designing marketing collateral (such as print and packaging) for consumer packaged goods; and, 2 years of experience designing mock-ups for packaging, retail displays, and merchandising concepts.
