Sealed tenders are invited by the Director, CECRI, Karaikudi for the following works from Registered Contractors who have executed works for CPWD, PWD, Railways, MES or who have carried out work of similar nature and value for CSIR Laboratories:

Tender documents can be obtained from the Section Officer (Works), Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi-630 006 on payment of Cash (before 12.00 noon) or DD(non refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, CECRI, payable at Karaikudi on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. from………………….to…………………….
Tenders should be submitted in a sealed cover superscribing the name of the work on the envelope. Tenders duly filled-in in all respects will be received upto …………. p.m. on …………..and opened at ………… p.m. on the same day at the AdministrativeBuilding (Work Section) of CECRI, Karaikudi in the presence of the tenderers present.
Tenders and/or earnest money cash receipt received after ……….. pm. on ………………….whether sent by post or delivered in person are liable to be rejected. Tenders submitted without EMD or with defective EMD shall not be considered.
CECRI shall not in any way be responsible for any postal delay either in respect of the tender documents by the tenderers and/or submission of tender to the Institute.
It is obligatory on the part of Contractors to obtain labour licence from the Department of Labour, Sivagangai District and ESI & EPF code nos. from the Authorities Concerned, insurance coverage for workersand produce the same for records.
It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to engage the labourer for execution of the works and this Institute is free from all liabilities whatsoever for any violation of provisions of the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 or any other statutory provisions under the Act or ay other labour laws by the Contractor.
Director, CECRI, Karaikudi reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders received or award the work in part or in full without assigning any reason whatsoever. In all matters pertaining to this tender, the decision of the Director, CECRI shall be final and binding.
