NOTES from our ICE SCHEDULER

Most ice scheduling questionsare likely answered on the ICE SCHEDULING INFO-8&Under page.

The majority ofice times for the full season will be loaded to team calendars at the beginning of the season. This includes practice times, goalie development sessions, and hockey development sessions with Yuro Sk8.

A small number of weekday ice times will be loaded month by month to team calendars.

Please notify the ice scheduler ASAP if you don't plan on using any of the ice times loaded to your team pages.

Please notify the ice scheduler if you will be using any of your home ice times to host another team(s). This will allow the ice scheduler to notify the facility to make locker room accommodations.

Please contact the ice scheduler if you would like your team "untagged" from an ice time loaded to your calendar. By default, each team at the same level (e.g., three teams at Mite 1 level) will be tagged to a single ice event. Only the ice scheduler can "untag" a team from these events. If a coach/manager untags their team, it will only remain until the ice scheduler updates team pages again (this occurs 3-4 times per week).

Teams should assume that they will not have access to home indoor ice on WAHC hosted tournament weekends (12/7 - 12/10, 12/14 - 12/17, 1/4 - 1/7, 1/25 - 1/28). Each team will be assigned one session on the HealthEast outdoor rink on each of these hosted tournament weekends.

Coaches or team managers should manually add any away events to their team calendars. Because coaches or team managers are the primary contact with the away team, it's better for coaches/managers to manually add and maintain these events, rather than being dependent on the ice scheduler for changes.

The Mite/8U seasons will culminate with a Jamboree scheduled for 3/8/2018- 3/11/2018. This will be the final weekend for Mite/8U.

As a general rule…Teams should contact the Ice Scheduler about anything they schedule that would impact ice either currently assigned to their team or that would help the Ice Scheduler to build out a more accurate ice schedule for a future month. Ice is the largest Club expense and the goal every season is to NEVER have an ice hour go unused.
