We are now in the Writing Fundamentals Unit of Poetry. Students are reading and writing their own poetry. We have written a variety of different forms of poetry. We will have lessons about: celebrating words, the imagery of poetry, traditional poetry, and choral reading.
We are continuing to learn the cursive alphabet for writing. Keep practicing those letters!

We have started our next and final Math unit for the year. Our focus for this unit is on: measurement, using a number line to solve word problems, shapes, word problems to solve for the unknown, money, using graphs, and fractions.

estimate, width, length, equation, value, centimeters, inches /
Students will be learning about different water and land habitats. Students will be able to identify descriptions of both land and water habitats including the animals living in each habitat.

We are finishing up Unit 2 over the next couple of weeks. Before the unit ends, students will continue to learn about making good choices regarding money. Don’t forget families can access their online textbook through Clever. This can be found through the schools website!
