I, Craig Leslie Sandy, the Chairperson of the Surveyors Board of the Northern Territory of Australia, give notice that the Board has given the following directions under section 47(1) of the Licensed Surveyors Act:

Survey Practice Directions 2014, Surveys Outside Co-ordinated Survey Areas.

The directions take effect on the 1 July 2014.

Cancellation Notice

The Registrar-General has received an Application No. 824939 for the cancellation of Units Plan No. UP 94/006 over Lot 9293 Town of Nightcliff at 234 Trower Road, Wagaman NT 0810.

Naming of Place
Lajamanu

I, Dawn Lawrie, Chairperson of the Place Names Committee for the Northern Territory, as the delegate of the Minister for Lands, Planning and the Environment:

(a) under section11(1)(a) of the Place Names Act and with reference to section 43 of the Interpretation Act, revoke the instrument entitled "Naming of Places" dated 8March 2007, notice of which was published in Gazette G14 of 4 April 2007, to the extent it names Lajamanu; and

(b) under section11D(1) of the Place Names Act, give notice that:

(i) on the recommendation of the Committee, I have approved the naming of Lajamanu; and

(ii) the location of the place is as indicated on Compiled Plan 5415, which may be inspected at the office of the Surveyor-General, 3rd Floor NAB House, 71Smith Street, Darwin; and

(iii) the name is recorded in the register kept by the Committee, which may be inspected on the Committee's website at:

Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act

Centre for Disease Control:

Declaration of Places, Approval of Scheduled Substance Treatment Protocols and Approval for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners to deal with Schedule 4 Substances

(a) I, Steven Jaye Skov, Chief Health Officer:

(i) under section 252 of the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act, and with reference to section 42 of the Interpretation Act, declare each health centre or clinic specified in Schedule A to be a place to which Part 2.6 of the Act applies; and

(ii) under section 254(1) of the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act, and with reference to section 42 of the Interpretation Act, approve each protocol specified in Schedule B for possessing, supplying or administering a Scheduled substance for each declared place specified in Schedule A (Scheduled substance treatment protocol); and

(iii) under section 250(1)(b) of the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act, and with reference to section 42 of the Interpretation Act, declare each Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner to be an approved ATSI health practitioner to deal with the Schedule 4 substances specified in Schedule C in accordance with the Scheduled substance treatment protocol specified in Schedule B subject to the following conditions:

(A) the approved ATSI health practitioner must only deal with the Schedule 4 substances at the places specified in Schedule A or at places identified in each Scheduled substance treatment protocol specified in Schedule B;

(B) the approved ATSI health practitioner must only deal with the Schedule 4 substances in the course of the approved practitioner’s duties.

(b) In this instrument:

Schedule 4 or 8 substance, see section 7(2) of the Act.
