Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Administrator – Business Development to join our Finance and IT Department.
At Northern Powergrid, our vision is to be the best energy company in serving our 3.9 million homes, whilst delivering a sustainable energy solution.As a dedicated Administrator – Business Development you will be an integral part of assisting the business in all aspects of their finances, which will include monitoring of costs, raising of variations, raising refunds, project closures and general queries raised by the project engineers.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for;
- Working with the project engineers to understand the financial position of their projects
- Ensuring variations are raised in a timely manner
- Ensuring refunds are raised in a timely manner
- Ensure projects are closed in a timely manner
- Assist the project engineers with any ad-hoc queries they have in respect to their finances
Key Competencies
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Understanding of financial processes
- Good problem solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and team working skills
- Advanced IT skills including use of MS Office applications specifically MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Qualifications & Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 A Levels (A-C) or NVQ Level 3
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- GCSE / O Level equivalent Maths and English
- Knowledge of CFS and Project Accounting
