The Innovation Scout / Innovation Champion Network is a collective of healthcare professionals who have expressed an interest in new ideas, innovations, inventions, service improvement and seeing the latest best practice and technologies in action.

As part of this event, Innovation Scouts / Innovation Champions can submit posters to share and showcase the innovations that they and their colleagues have developed.

Each AHSN will have dedicated exhibition space for posters and a poster will be selected from each area as a winner (the North East and North Cumbria AHSN will also be awarding a cash prize to the winner).

Entry requirements:

  • A developed innovation that you have implemented (or are planning on implementing in your organisation in the very near future).

How to enter

  • Complete the ‘Entry Form’ to register your details and provide some brief details about the content of your poster. This will simply be used as an initial screen to ensure that we are showcasing innovations which are ready for adoption and spread (the overall theme of the event). If the proposed content meets the criteria you will be asked to provide a poster for the event. Please also read the ‘Competition Rules and Regulations’ and tick the box.
  • Submit the entry form below to your AHSN key contact (see contact details below).
  • Your poster should include the following information / headings:
  • Title
  • The Innovation (provide an overview of the innovation)
  • The Problem (what was the original problem that was identified which led to the innovation being developed?)
  • The Collaborators (if applicable – who or what was it that helped you to progress the innovation - this may include other healthcare professionals in your organisation, University colleagues, the voluntary sector, funding bodies, companies etc)
  • The Impact (include any evaluation that you have done or feedback you have collected)
  • The Next Steps (what are your plans for next steps, and / or what would you like from people to help you)

If you already have a poster designed that covers the above information then please feel free to submit this.

If you are producing a new poster from scratch, the design of the poster and how the information is presented is completely up to you. It can be done using any IT software package, or even hand drawn in your own way if you like to be creative!
