North Carolina Soccer Referee Association

Referee Mentor Program

North Carolina Youth Soccer and the North Carolina Soccer Referee Association (NCSRA) want you -- the young (or young at heart) referee with a love, passion and drive to become a skilled soccer referee. The NCSRA Mentor Program is designed to build a solid base of knowledge and skills in the art of officiating soccer, as well as give opportunity and exposure to the referees who will be the driving force of tomorrow’s NCSRA.

Some highlights of the program:

·  Training by North Carolina members of the FIFA International Panel and National Referees currently working International matches, Major League Soccer, USL-1 and USL-2.

·  Each session devoted to a specific component of officiating

·  Video analysis of match and clinic performances

·  Travel to out-of-state tournaments

·  Expenses paid for by NCSRA for enrolled members of the NCSRA Mentor Program

This program requires a 6-session commitment, some sessions are full weekends and others are one-day clinics. Sessions are generally one every other month from January-October.
