Service package 3:

Drug discovery and design

The Norwegian Structural Biology center (NorStruct) offers 3 different service packages:

SP1: Protein production

SP2: Structure determination

SP3: Drug discovery and design

This is outlined in the box to the right.

NorStruct will through SP3 offer a new service package that covers ligand discovery and design using a combination of biophysical, computational and crystallographic techniques.

For this service package most if the ordering will be customized, but here are some options to be considered

3) Pharmacophore modeling
4) Lead optimization using sophisticated free energy calculations.
£ / SP3.3a / Crystallography
1) High throughput structure determination of multiple ligand-receptor complexes
2) Identification of weakly binding low molecular weight ligands using fragment screening for appropriate targets
3) Structural studies of off-target effects, primarily serum albumin interactions
4) Structure determination of putative ligands using chemical crystallography.
