CATEGORIES
Boys and Girls under 19, under 17, under 15 and under 13.
Players may only enter one category. All places will be played out. The maximum draw size is 32 in each category.
ELIGIBILITY
The Nordic Junior Open is open to all players under the age of 13, 15, 17 and 19 on September 25th, 2005 as appropriate.
SEEDING
The seeding will be carried out by the ESF using the latest valid European Junior Ranking.
MATCHES
All matches will be played as best of 5 games, under the rules of the WSF; all players are guaranteed 3 matches.
REFEREEING
All players will be expected to mark and referee matches.

PRIZES
There will be prize money in the under 19 Boys/Girls categories. In all other categories, there will be gift prizes.
Medals will be awarded in all categories.
INSURANCE
Players enter and play in the tournament at their own risk. Neither the organisers nor the ESF accept any responsibility for injury arising from participating in the event. Players must arrange their own insurance. All players have to wear protective eye guards on court.

All entries must be made through/ endorsed by the relevant national federation. Any entry not endorsed by a player’s national federation will not be accepted. All entries will be acknowledged. Details of the centre, hotel and travel information will be sent to entrants or their association by e-mail.
DRAWS
The seedings will be circulated to all players or their national/ regional associations by e-mail.
Times of first matches will be indicated for their players.
ENTRY FEE
Tournament package: € 178,00 per person, including 2 nights accommodation in double/ triple rooms, breakfast, 5 meals at the Club, transportation between arrival/ departure point and hotel.
Extra charge for single room € 70 p.p.
Extra night: € 40 in double room, per person and night, € 90 single room p.p.n.

Reservations can only be made by the tournament organisers.
TRANSPORT
Transportation will be provided from Billund Airport, Aarhus Airport and Herning Train Station (arrival/departure point).
Furthermore transport from/ to Kolding Train Station will be provided at specific times. Then it is possible to travel with Euronight trains. On arrival Friday morning at 7.33 (Euronight train) and on departure Sunday at 21.06. (See letter send directly to your federation)
Participants will only be picked up if they notify the tournament organizers of their arrival times before Friday the 16th of September, 2005. There will be a bus transfer service between the hotel and the Club.
EYE GUARDS
Wearing of approved eye protection on court is mandatory for this event. Players will not be allowed to compete without protection.
PENALTIES
The following penalties will apply, in accordance with the ESF Junior Guidelines, Section E.4.a and E.4.b:
E.4.a: If a player makes a late withdrawal from a tournament, they must supply a doctor’s certificate confirming injury/illness to avoid penalties. The medical certificate (with a translation in English) must clearly state the player’s name, date of birth and the nature of the illness/injury; the certificate must cover the date of the relevant tournament and must be sent to the ESF office within two days after the final day of the tournament (email: ; fax +44 1424 202463). Any player making a late withdrawal not supported by a medical certificate will receive zero points for the tournament which will count as one of their 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor’s certificate within two days of the final day of the tournament.
If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, they will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.
E.4.b: If a player has entered a tournament and fails to turn up, they will receive zero points for the tournament. These zero points will count as one of the player’s 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor’s certificate within two days of the final day of the tournament (email: ; fax +44 1424 202463).
