Is my CNIPS number the sponsor application number?

Yes, the CNIPS number is the sponsor number.

Since I am a returning applicant, I am resubmitting (with revisions) our application. Am I correct in not submitting a new application for the 13-14 school year? We understood the information to say we had to only make revisions to the old application.

That is correct, if the schools are currently participating, you can use the application submitted last year and make the revisions needed.

Does a Pre-K center qualify for the FFVP?

If a school is only Pre K and Kindergarten, then it does not meet the laws definition of an elementary level education. Therefore it would not be eligible for the FFVP. However if they serve Pre-K , Kindergarten and other elementary grades then they would be included and could be served FFVP.

I have four schools but they are counted as three sites since my Upper Elementary and Middle School eat out of the same cafeteria. Am I able to submit an application for the FFVP for the Upper Elementary? It is listed in CNIPS as one school with the Middle School.

Yes, but a school that houses more than elementary students must be able to separate the students so that the students served are elementary students.

We are currently receiving the FFVP grant in our 2 elementary schools. We want to apply for both again next year. The only changes I need to make is that the building Principals at each school changed, do I just need to submit a new Signature page for each school?

If you are currently participating in the program, you will need to go to CNIPS and update your data. You can then simply make the necessary changes to last year’s application and scan it to me along with the updated signature page and school profile for each school.

I have one school, which is on the FFVP grant this yearbutis closing and moving into a new school with another elementary ( ____ Elementary- which was not on FFVP grant this year) for the 2013-2014 school year. Which option do I use to apply for the new elementary?

Since _____Elementary received an invitation to participate, I would recommend that you accept BOTH invitations in CNIPS to participate, then submit a NEW application that will explain the merger of the schools, etc. That way both populations will be accounted for in the invitation process.

Is there a new application that is specific for the entire district and if so, where can I find this application?

There is only one application – and it works for all schools. Districts do not submit by district – they submit by school.

I have a question about the School Profile under the School Building Data. The grades that I serve are K-8. Do I just include K-6 or all grades? And am I allowed to serve 7th & 8th grade under the program?

Elementary is considered 1st through the 5th Grade. If a building houses middle school students, the only way they can apply is if they have the ability to separate the students and only serve through the 5th Grade. Kindergarten and preschool students can only participate if they are actually “enrolled” in the school.

Q. The announcement stated, schools that are currently participating in the 2012-13 FFVP that are reapplying and do not have any changes to their existing application are not required to submit any documentation to the RFP branch. We do not have any changes in any of the staffing positions and all the signatures on the signature page would be the same. My question is do I have to update the signature page if no changes are going to be made?

If my CEO claiming percentage is higher this year than last, should I submit a revised school profile form for each school that I am applying for FFVP?

No, the data posted on the Qualifying Data Report and the CEO Report that is referenced in the RFA must be used.

I have 3 schools that were on FF&V for 2012-2013. I went in and placed them in the invite on the application and agreement packet for 2013-2014. Was this correct or do I need to do something else?

Basically the Application Packet currently in CNIPS is simply your contact information. If there are any changes to the current application, you will need to access the FFVP Application packet off the KDE website, revise whatever needs to be revised, and email it to . If there are no revisions and everything for next year stays the same as this year, you will not need to submit anything to me – only accept the invitation to participate in CNIPS.

We had many apply last year that did not get it this year. Do we need to submit paper application for those schools since they are not in program but did apply last year?

Yes, for any school that is not currently participating in the program, you will need to resubmit the application.
