Grand Prize Winner Receives $20,000 to Split with a Charity of Its Choice

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., (Nov. 16, 2017) – Firstrust Bank announced the nomination period is now open for its 6th Annual Business First Awards, which shines a spotlight on local businesses making a positive impact in the community as nominated and voted on by the public.

In keeping with the spirit of giving back during this Thanksgiving season,Firstrust Bank will donate $2 to Philabundance for every nomination received from Nov. 16 through Thanksgiving Day. Participants can nominate their own business or other deserving local businesses making a positive difference in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Nominations for the Business First Awards will be accepted until Dec. 17, 2017.

Green, Chairman and CEO of Firstrust Bank. “Now in its sixth year, the contest has always been about recognizing businesses with exemplary performance, which have served as agents of change and growth in our community, and we are proud to recognize Philabundance’s great work as we kick off this year’s nomination phase.”

Unique to Business First Awards, the public nominates and votes on the businesses that positively impact their communities. Last year more than 1,000 regional businesses were nominated and the top winner, Korman Residential, donated its entire grand prize of $20,000 with to Red Paws Relief Fund.

The public is encouraged to nominate their own businesses, or another deserving local business on the Business First Awards website:

Grand Prize (1):

  • $20,000 grant split 50/50 to invest in their business and give to identified charity
  • Four (4) 76ers or Flyers Tickets in regular season (based on availability and on a date mutually agreed upon)
  • Feature name in Firstrust promotional and public relations activities
  • Free financial consultation for their business
  • Mention on the BizFirst website and Firstrust Bank and BizFirst Social Media Networks
  • Business featured on Firstrust’s I-76 billboard

●Runners Up (3):

  • $5,000 grant split to invest in their business and give to identified charity ($3,000 to the business and $2,000 to the charity)
  • Mention on the BizFirst website and Firstrust Bank and BizFirst Social Media Networks
  • Business featured on Firstrust’s I-76 billboard

Four Sweepstakes Prizes:

  • Each winner will receive $500 VISA gift card

How to Participate:

Participants can self-nominate their own business, or can nominate another business. Entries will be accepted until December 15, 2017. Participants are also able to nominate a business every day of the nomination phase.

Once the nomination period is closed, a panel of judges will determine the top finalists, which will be announced on the Firstrust website the awards website and on Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter with the hashtag #BizFirstAwards.

The top finalists will enter the public voting period beginning February 12, 2018. Voters will be able to place one vote per day for their favorite entry through March 23, 2018.

Winners will be selected between March 23 and April 1, 2018. Winners will be announced April 2, 2018.
