About fellowship

The process of assessing applications for Fellowship is managed by the LI’s Fellowship Board, a panel of three to four Members who give of their time voluntarily in order to fulfil this function for the LI. The Board is a standing panel, all the members of which are Fellows.

In order to be eligible for election to Fellowship, Members must show that they have ‘had practical experience of and responsibility for important work in landscape architecture’. In particular, the Fellowship Board looks for evidence of a candidate’s

  • professional experience and performance, which should have been varied, substantial and of outstanding quality;
  • contribution to the Institute and the profession as a whole, which should also have been substantial;
  • personal qualities and integrity, particularly qualities which are outstanding.

Submitting your nomination

Please submit the nomination form and forward one copy to your nominee, and one to the LI. On receipt we will write to the person you have nominated, enclosing a Fellowship Application Pack.
