Station Outreach Initiatives

Internship Program:

WNEP has an internship program with areaUniversities and Colleges. Journalism/communication class students intern in the news, programming and production departments to acquire hands-on media skills. Students work the number of hours required for credit by the school…usually 15 hours per credit hour. Other departments also participate in the internship program.

Job Fairs, Community Events, Etc.

Scheduled station tours are given to school and Boy and Girl Scout groups throughout the year by WNEP on air personalities who discuss meteorology.
