Projects:

Senior project: ASCENT-1 (Active Stability and Control ExperimeNT) – High-powered rocket (M-class), utilizing active control system to augment stability and achieve flight path optimized for maximum altitude. The rocket will also record atmospheric temperature and pressure data and store GPS position data over the course of the flight.

ASEN 4148 Spacecraft Design: Systems Engineer and Attitude Determination and Control Lead for group project. Project includes Phase A design of Mars orbiter and lander that will rendezvous and dock with International Space Station.

Student Outreach:

Work at the Colorado Space Grant Consortium involves regular participation in outreach to K-12 students. This includes giving tours of Space Grant facilities, discussing what is involved in becoming an aerospace engineer, and general educational talks about scientific and engineering topics.
