Dear Parents
Nursery
Next week there are lots of things happening. The AM Nativity performance is on Tuesday morning starting at 10:30am. On Wednesday the children can come in in their party clothes ready for their party. Please remember to send in your £1 donation for the food as soon as you can. Santa has agreed to come all the way from the North Pole to attend our party in both the morning and the afternoon. If you would like to take a photo of your child with Santa please be here at 11am (if your child attends Wednesday morning) and in the afternoon he is arriving at 12:30pm so photos can be taken at the start of the session. On Thursday the Nativity performance starts at 2:30pm. Friday is Christmas Jumper Day plus the children who attend the afternoon session will be going to the carol service at Whickham Church with the rest of the school.

Dear Parents
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Edmondson; I’m a student social worker studying at Northumbria University. I am currently in my second year of study and I have been given the great opportunity to work as part of Front Street’s team. I will be working closely with the Local Authority, Mrs Gladstone and Miss Casey (family support worker) over the next 4 months. As part of my working experience, school-based practice will enable me to develop crucial knowledge and gain better understanding of children, their families and how to best support them.
My role is to support children and their families within school, through relationship building. Care I will be involved in includes; supportive nurture groups, attending meetings around the child and family, attendance monitoring, give advice around services and support available to children and families, safeguarding best interests of children and lastly working as part of the school office. Most importantly, my role is to support everyone in Front Street. If you may have any concerns that you may wish to discuss. Whether this is regarding your child’s wellbeing within school, attendance issues, or anything else that may be of concern. I am more than happy to speak with those who wish to do so.
