Here is next week at a glance:

*Science –During our short week of school we will remain busy. Students will be starting a "Layers of the Earth's Atmosphere" project. This will be explained in class. Supplies and directions will be handed out on Friday, November 14th. These projects will be due on Friday, November 21st.

We will also be starting our final investigation in this unit. Students will study weather and its effects on our planet. Mrs. Schuermann offered two opportunities for extra credit this week. Both are optional and worth five points each. Students may make a barometer or an anemometer. Students are to make the devices, record data on the back of the instructions, then bring in both the worksheet and their creation to share with the class.

*History – Mrs. Garret would like to thank all parents who helped with the painting of masks/totems. Your help was greatly appreciated. The Native American mask/totem is due today. It is thrilling to see so much creativity. On Monday and Tuesday of next week, students will be giving a presentation of the purpose and use of their artifact.

There will be no test on Chapter 3. However, students will have a vocabulary test on Monday, November 3rd. Please go to Spelling City to review the vocabulary.
