Notices/Upcoming Events

URGENT help required for the field management – Pony club relies on volunteers and not just the committee (who are also volunteers) to help out at all the events.

Help is required on show day assisting, setting up and putting away. Also on the Friday before every show to help set up the rings from 6.30pm onwards. Please contact/speak to Joanne Bradley, Toni Baker or Shelly Wildbore if you require further information in helping out or alternatively speak to them on the day or go to the caravan.

Outdoor Rallies (May - Sept) - These rallies need to be booked inadvance so instructors can be arranged. The cost is £25 to be paid by cheque. Please contact Sarah prior to attending the rally to book on. The £25 you pay is for the Tuesday monthly rallies and not for any other extra training you receive. Attendance at any other training must also be paid for in cash to the instructor.

Try something new Saturday – Gemma Wooley has been organising events that members can take part in.Recent events have been successful with all who have attended have found them beneficial. Keep upto date on the next events on the website or Facebook.

If you are interested in taking part in future events please contact Gemma.

Hat Standards –(BS)EN 1384will be withdrawn in 2016. Members are still able to use these riding hats this year. Any members that have a hat with this in will need a purple tag on.

PAS015:1998 or 2011 with BSI kite markor SNELL E20001 with official Snell label and number are the correct hat that is required a white at tag on.

Write Ups – We are looking for members to do a short write up for the newsletter. This would be for a pony club event they have taken part in. Please contact Juliet Smith on 07827 323218 if you are interested in doing this.

Camp – This year’s camp will take place on Wed 26th till Sun 30thAugust 2015 at Somerford Park. Information and registration forms are now on the website some places still available.

3 Day Rally – 28th – 30th July please book on with Penny.

Showing - Thank you to all who attended the first points show it was well supported hope to see you at the next points show. Please can we ask that the gate is remained closed at all times for safety reasons this includes at near the end of the show.

Test Training – E, D, D+,C, C+ - dates to be confirmed.

Gill Cook is now the clubs Safeguarding officer, if you have any concerns please speak to Gill.

Mounted games team members have been busy competing at various competitions.

Ppc come 3rd Sophie Sykes, Daisy Cook, Olivia Yates, Elizabeth Smethurst, Jessica Morrell

Juniors come 1st Sophie Sykes, Daisy Cook, Alice Budworth, Zac Baker Millie Wildbore

Myla Baker and Alice Budworth also took part for Fylde Ppc team

Both our teams will be competing at the Zones well done to all.

Show Jumping Manager - Liz Roche 07881 825 422

Well done to Tino Guarino, Oliver Pass, Pip Cordwell and Alex Robinson who finished 2nd at Mottram Show and won £50 for the Pony club.

Show jumping rallies have been taking place at Birtle EC – These rallies will now be put on hold until further notice.

There are plenty of show jumping competitions for all levels coming up. Please contact Liz if you would like to be on a team or just interested in having a go.

The 2nd Dressage competition at Friezland was again well attended. Well done to all that took part and hope to sees you at the next one.

Flatwork practice to improve you & your pony /horses flatwork & ring craft these are taking place every other Thursday evening at Friezland - 6.00pm to 6.30pm, 6.30pm to 7.30pm, 7.30pm to 8.30pm

6 sessions started on Thursday April 16th & every other Thursday afterwards finishing on June 25th. Team practice July 23rd. Cost £30 payable on 1st session enquiries to Pat Dewhurst on 07966065342

FUG (Friezland user group)

Please check the notice board at Friezland or the Facebook page for the diary of events, these events may impact on when it is open to members of Friezland.

If you are using Friezland on a regular basis and are not members please make yourself a member.

£5 under 16 and £10 adults (yearly) there is an application form on the website.

The membership helps with the running costs of the arena, membership allows you to use the arena at Friezland.
