Temporary Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine, Category B, South Tipperary General Hospital – 3 Posts - 1 year Fixed Term Contract (whole time appointment, 39 hour week)
Specialist Training in one of the following areas is desirable:

Cardiology

Respiratory Medicine

Endocrinology

Gastroenterology

Geriatric Medicine

SouthTipperary GeneralHospital is an acute general hospital that provides healthcare to the population of Tipperary, is looking for 3 Consultant Physicians in Acute Medicine (1 year contract initially) to be part of their Medical Team.

The Hospital provides excellent experience for medical professionals to further the development of their careers, which provides both acute and specialty services in close collaboration with other Departments and our Management team.

We are part of the University College Cork (UCC) Medical School Group of Hospitals. Permanent appointees will be offered a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Medicine post in UCC.

Clonmel is situated in a scenic area in the Golden Vale of Ireland. It is one of the largest inland towns in Ireland with all of the amenities one would expect. It is approximately 16km from the M7 Cork to Dublin motorway; 65 minutes drive to CorkAirport, 80 minutes to Shannon airport and 2 hours to Dublin airport.

There are excellent local schools at primary and secondary level, and Limerick Institute of Technology Campus. Local amenities include golf, tennis, swimming, cycling, mountain walking and other outdoor pursuits. There is an active cultural life in the town with drama society, musical society, choirs, traditional music and the annual Clonmel Junction Cultural Festival.

Requirements:
- Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council
- Relevant qualifications.
- Relevant experience.
