Cart Delivery

The new Carts will be delivered street-side June 16 - 27.

You may begin placing the Carts on your Recycling collection day after June 30th.

Won’t be Home?

No problem. If you subscribe to the Walk-In recycling service option, we will automatically relocate your cart to the location of your choice.

If you are not a Walk-In service subscriber, but expect to be away when we deliver your cart, call 327-1351, ext. 313 and leave word on where you would like us to place your Cart. If you plan to be away for an extended period we can defer delivery of your Cart – just let us know.

Please remember that City Codes prohibit storing carts at the street AND an unattended cart can be a tell-tale sign that the home is not occupied. Also, Customers are responsible for lost carts. All of these are good reasons to contact us and make arrangements for your Cart.

Walk-In Option

We collect recycling street-side, but, if you like, we can make it more convenient by offering Walk-In service.

For an additional $4.74 per month added to your bill, our collectors will Walk-In (up to 50 feet) to collect your Blue Cart recyclables.

Sign-up on-line or call our office.

Spring Clean-Up

Our Spring Cleanup Event will be held exclusively for Palm Springs residents, April 14th through 19th. This is your opportunity to dispose of any unwanted items.

Before you decide to dispose of usable household items, please consider donating them to one of many local agencies — many will pickup at your door. Please separate Green and Wood Waste from other debris for recycling.

Once again, we will offer you two ways to dispose of extra household waste and bulky items.

Drop-Off — On Saturday, April 19th you may drop off extra household waste, large bulky items like furniture and mattresses, yard waste and electronic products at the designated location in the North parking lot at City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way between the hours of 8 AM and 2 PM.

Curbside Pickup — If you prefer curbside pickup, we will also collect extra household waste and up to TWO bulky items (furniture, appliances, etc.) street-side at your residence. Please place extra contained waste or bulky items at the curb on Monday, April 14th for collection sometime during that week. You DO NOT need to call to schedule this pickup. And, as always, this service is provided free of charge.

Recycling is Easy

The new recycling program is easy.

You place all of your recyclables in the Blue Cart.

We collect them with our new, clean-burning, CNG-powered trucks.

We transport the recyclables to a processing facility where they are sorted.

The sorted materials are sent for processing into new raw materials or products.

Full Carts are Best

For the SMallest environmental footprint, place Carts out for collection only when full.
