New Partnership Program

New Partnership Program: For Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis, all grants are truly considered a partnership between the Foundation and nonprofit organizations. The Foundation’s Board of Directors provides the financial resources and the nonprofit organizations provide skill, expertise and care. Because the Foundation values this partnership with the nonprofit community, the Board and staff have streamlined the Foundation’s three grant programs (regular, partnership and immediate response) to just one…the Partnership Program.

Concept papers are no longer necessary, the Foundation asks only for a completed application and required documentation. Grant application deadlines are April 1 and December 1 (NOTE: AUGUST 1 DEADLINE ELIMINATED FOR 2008; see website for further details). Months for board decisions are June and February, respectively.

Partnership Program grants may be awarded to any nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides assistance for those most at-risk in the St. Louis community. Funding priorities are focused on health, human care, Lutheran congregations’ services to the community and Lutheran education for the community.

To the honor of Christ Jesus, the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis seeks the improved care of people in the greater St. Louis metropolitan region.
