Starting this month the chapter has a new toll- free information line 1-888-726-6733. Call this number to get current information on upcoming meetings and events. The line also has voice mail and will be monitored for messages (“Where can I get my 70-pounder weighed?”) on a regular basis.

Baystore Camp - NW Angle - August 12-19 2006
You're invited to join us at Walsh's Bay Store Camp - Lake of the Woods in August 12-19, 2006.
If you've ever wanted to fish Lake of the Woods, this is a great learning opportunity on this historic Musky water. Each night, we will review the days action - what areas are producing, what baits are working...as a group we will make every effort to ensure a successful trip for everyone.
You do not need to be a member to participate, so please invite anyone you'd like to have along as your partner.
Our club is heading into its sixth year with Bay Store Camp as a major sponsor of our tournament. Bay Store provides us a week stay for four and a guide day. This is a $1,300 prize. Walsh's Website is:
Deadline for registration and deposit is March 1, 2006. After the deadline, space may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A Message From the President…
I am honored to have been elected as the president of your club and hope to make it bigger, better and more fun for all of us to be a part of. However, this can only happen with your help, support, participation and ideas.
Most of the tasks the club performs fall on the board members, and there has been little change of people serving on the board over the last several years. All of these individuals contribute but we urgently need some new blood and ideas. If you can help with some time or ideas, call me or any board member and we will find a project for you to assist with. THIS IS YOUR CLUB! Please help us by getting more involved. Without new faces and ideas we will be left with more of the same. We can do better than that with your input. Board meetings are open to all members – I urge you to attend and help us build this chapter into something bigger and better.
Some interesting things planned for the upcoming year are: Reviving the family outings, a one day topwater challenge, a muskie fishing league, expanding our youth program among many other ideas. Without help from outside of the board members, we can’t do it all. If you can afford a few hours we could surely use your help in putting all this together. I guarantee you will get more satisfaction out of being a member by giving a little time and effort back into the club.
I hope you all had a great holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you at the banquet.
