New Forest Tetrathletes compete on home turf…..
Rather a late and brief report as all the parents were so busy helping on both days the write up got left to me!!
Intermediates Team 1st
Natalie Green, Hannah Smith, Abigail Caton, Kay Whittle did us proud winning the class with Hannah achieving best shoot and swim and coming individually 3rd , Natalie coming 1st - a very proud moment as it was Bens 1st time competing at this level and Kay individually 6th.
Junior Boys – team 2nd
Sam Tooley(5th), Alex Tooley(4th) and Liam Green(2nd) teamed up for the weekend with Alex getting best shoot, Sam forgetting to switch his sat nav on and Liam going clear doing his honorary one tet a year (thank goodness he has an amazing sister who keeps the horse fit).
Junior Girls – joint 1st place with the Wylye Valley)
It was great to have a full team of JG -Laura Birch (4th), Libby Stevenson (3rd), Georgy Killengray and Libby House worked hard in all phases to come joint 1st with the WV pony club; lovely to see Laura’s new horse settling down and Libby House enjoying her 1st tet in juniors riding a borrowed pony.
Mini Boys - team 1st
Tom Dubois(2nd) and George Williams(5th) made up a mixed team with the south Berks to take pole position. Tom came 1st in the shoot and George did very well on his new pony.
Mini girls - team 2nd
Ines Mitchell (2nd), Anna Merrit, Harriet Wheeler and Tori House were looking strong and full of spirit over both days with Harriet getting best shoot with 980 and Ines the customary best run.
Super mini’s - team 2nd
Freddie Fox(2nd), Grace King(4th) and Peggy Tooley are our new tetrathletes on the block and doing us proud! They all managed to get placed in the top 10 and it was great to see them all go clear over the purpose built XC course; it was great to see this class so well supported this year.
Super Mini’s Tri
Georgie Wheeler & Willoughby Dubois had fun - bean bag throwing themselves into 6th and 5th place!
Mini Tri – team 5th
Harriet Middleton took part in a mixed team and enjoyed her day gaining confidence in all phases.
Parents - team 2nd
Well what can I say – beaten by West Hants by 21 points! Good effort all round, Rob winning the shoot, Rupert doing an outstanding run, Ian playing catch-up after losing his goggles in the swim and Nicky showing how it should be done with the ride. We are lucky to have such fit and able pushy parents.
