New Fitness Equipment Is on Its Way!

New Fitness Equipment is on its way!

Members can expect to see these new arrivals sometime in May:

At Santa Rita Springs:

1 True Spectrum Elliptical. This replaces an elliptical that is beyond its recommended use. This new piece of equipment allows for stride adjustment, which allows a greater fit range for users of different heights.

At Las Campanas:

1 Biceps Curl machine. The new machine will provide a more comfortable fit for users who do bicep curl exercises. It allows easier access to the machine.

2 Revmaster Pro “spin” bikes. These bikes can be used by people of all fitness levels, but will also allow users to work at a higher level of speed and intensity, which has shown in recent studies to benefit people with Parkinson’s Disease.

At Desert Hills:

1 Combination leg extension/leg curl machine. It will replace the current piece of equipment that serves the same purpose. The new equipment allows users to complete both exercises from a seated position rather than having to lay down to do the leg curl. The easier access will make this machine useable for a larger number of people.

2 True Spectrum Ellipticals. These replace ellipticals that are beyond their recommended use. This new piece of equipment allows for stride adjustment, which allows a greater fit range for users of different heights.

At Canoa Hills:

1 Biceps Curl machine. The new machine will provide a more comfortable fit for users to do bicep curl exercises. It allows easier access to the machine.

1 Shoulder Press. This will replace the existing deltoid raise machine. The current machine works similar muscles to the Pec/Fly machine that it sits next to. The new machine offers an overhead pressing option to strengthen shoulders, which allows users to train a movement pattern that is used to complete many daily tasks.

1 True Spectrum Elliptical. This replaces an elliptical that is beyond its recommended use. This new piece of equipment allows for stride adjustment, which allows a greater fit range for users of different heights.

At East Center:

1 True Spectrum Elliptical. This replaces an elliptical that is beyond its recommended use. This new piece of equipment allows for stride adjustment, which allows a greater fit range for users of different heights.

1 Functional Trainer. This will replace the current cable crossover machine. The new machine provides the ability to adjust cable heights, which makes the equipment more useable and functional for users of different heights.

By the end of summer, we will also replace some treadmills.
