Important Information: Accounts & Access
Standard Account: E-mail, Personal network space, and WebAdvisor account
All new FT/PT employees are assigned a standard account: e-mail, network, and WebAdvisor account (time entry/RISD alert) upon hire. Human Resources (HR) notifies the Service Desk of all new hires and in turn, the Service Desk submits work orders. Following account creation (approx. 3 – 5 business days) the new employee’s login credentials are sent interoffice and in a sealed envelope to the supervisor.
Temporary Employees: The new employee’s supervisor must request the standard RISD account using the Temporary Employee Account Request Form.
Additional Accounts and Access: Colleague account and department shared folder access
The new employee’s supervisor must submit a request to for additional accounts and access. The e-mail will only be accepted from the employee’s supervisor and must contain the employee’s full name, title, and the specific access needed for his/her position. In the event the supervisor is unsure of what access is needed, they should call the Service Desk at 454-6106 for assistance.
