PIE & GRANOLA SALE INSTRUCTIONS

This fundraiser works only if you participate!

Goal: each team member will sell at least $300 of pies, granola & cookies

Develop your customers this year and next year will be much easier.

Sell to neighbors or send out emails to friends and family

·  Before you start:

Read these instructions thoroughly and contact us with any questions. Your packet contains:

§  2016 New Canaan Crew Pie Order Form

§  2016 New Canaan Crew Granola and Cookie Order Form

§  2016 Pie Tally Sheet (must be turned in with your orders)

§  2016 Granola & Cookie Tally Sheet (must be turned in with your orders)

§  Neighbor Letters (or create your own email or note)

·  When you sell:

o  Leave or email a "Note to Neighbors" and both Pie and Granola Order Forms.

o  Let customers know this is a fundraiser for your team for equipment

o  Be sure customers know that pies, granola and cookies are of top quality

CHECK YOUR MATH (or buyer’s math) – take a calculator to be safe

Payment – Checks made out to NCHS Crew (one check fine for both granola & plants)

You can accept cash, but you cannot turn in cash, you will have to write a personal check for any cash you accept from a customer. You can write one check for all the cash you collect. All payment must be submitted with the orders.

o  Let your customer know that everything will be delivered on Saturday, Nov 19th – the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Pies and breads arrive frozen so make sure you customers will be in town to receive them

o  Thank them for their support!

·  After you sell:

o  Complete the Tally Sheets and place them back in your original selling envelope along with your Checks. You can also leave your individual order forms in the envelope as all of this will be returned to you on pie pick up day.

o  Please write at the bottom of the Tally Sheet the number and type of pies that have been order for donation to the New Covenant House Soup Kitchen in Stamford. These will be put aside and delivered to the soup kitchen by our senior rowers

Cash is not accepted you must write a check for any cash you accept from a customer.

o  Keep a record of your customers, so you can call to remind them to be home for delivery on Saturday. Remember all pies and breads arrive frozen so they will need to be delivered Saturday, November 19th around noon

o  Place your completed envelope in the box marked “Pie/Granola Sale” at boathouse.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE RETURNED by Monday, Oct 24th

Orders cannot be accepted after Wednesday, Oct 26th

We need everyone to help on pie pick up day – rowers and parents 8-11 am
