Matters arising. No matters arising.

Election of Chair – Councillor Ben Eddolls was elected chair of the Neighbourhood Planning committee.

Who we are? What can we bring to the exercise: Each individual present introduced themselves and advised how they wished to be involved and the experience they had which could be utilised in this process.

What to do with CDC – The clerk advised that a new or amending application needed to be submitted to CDC, showing a map with the boundary the plan was to cover. CDC will then have a 6 week public consultation process, in the meantime the work could still continue on the plan.

Contact with local Groups – The local groups list would be circulated with any suggestions for additional groups to be added.

Establishing a Steering Group & Consideration of setting up Working Groups–It was discussed and felt that the Steering Group should be a wider cross-section of Stow residents than those present. However, it was decided for now and to make a start, a Steering group initially could be made up of the 4 Stow Town Councillors present and those in attendance wishing to be part of the group. The hope is over time the Steering Group will evolve with other members of the community joining the group and the initial group may take a step back to working groups.

It was decided to initially set up the group as follows:

Chair – Ben Eddolls

Wellbeing/Health/Welfare and the Elderly – Diane Cresswell and Mike Curtis

Traffic, Transport and Parking – Peter Day and Alun White

Planning & Housing – Mark Travers and John Reynolds

Environment – Iris Barnett and Sue Green

Each Group will consider its responsibilities and review Tetbury’s constitution with a view of formulating our own Steering Group Constitution.

A Steering Group meeting will be held on 11thJune at 7.00 p.m. in the youth centre.
