STEEL LPS LEVEL 4 SECURITY DOOR SPECIFICATION
GENERAL

STEEL LPS LEVEL 4 SECURITY DOOR CERTIFICATION
LPS LEVEL 4 steel doorsets Independently tested to LPS 1175 physical security test standard LEVEL 4 certification, manufactured, designed and installed to the criteria required by BS EN ISO 9001; 2000.
DOOR LEAF
• Two skins of 1.5mm (16 ga.) thick galvanised steel
• 44mm thick door leaf with no face seams
• Doors are internally stiffened with a solid timber core bonded to the steel skins
• Doors are complete with heavy-duty hardware reinforcements
• Face skins are connected by a continuous "deep pocket" interlocking edge lock seam for added strength and durability
• 1.6mm (16 ga.) steel end channels projection welded to the top and bottom of the door
• Door edges are bevelled for ease of operation and close fit
• Doors are mortised, reinforced, drilled and tapped for three template drilled dogbolt hinges
• Anti-jemmy security astragal integrated within door construction to the leading edge.
DOOR FRAME
• Manufactured from 1.5mm (16 ga.) galvanised steel to BS 1245 with double rebate profile
• Supplied in fully welded smooth finish for added security
• Corners have integral reinforcements for solid connection between jambs and head
• Frames are mortised, reinforced, drilled and tapped for hinges and strikes
• Hinge and strike reinforcements are protected by metal guard boxes
• Frames are provided with four fixings per jamb and built-in adjustment and complete with cover caps.
TYPICAL HARDWARE
• Multi-point locking system
• Heavy-duty lever handles or panic function bars
• Drill resistant cylinder, thumb turn and escutcheon
• 1.5 pairs of 102mm x 76mm template drilled stainless steel dog bolt hinges
• On double doors, 2 lever action flush bolts can be located within the leading edge of the inactive door leaf
• A large number of alternative lock and handle arrangements can be provided to suit the individual client's requirements
• All hardware is factory fitted unless otherwise stated
• The use of Powershield tested hardware is strongly recommended since the choice of hardware can greatly affect security performance and maintenance.
FINISH
All doors and frames to be manufactured from galvaneal, hot dipped galvanised steel primed, ready for site painting by others or factory painted to a colour selected from our standard RAL or BS colour references.
SIZING
Clearance requirements
Frame width = S/O less 10mm
Frame height = S/O less 7mm
The clearance between frame and wall should be filled on site by others using mastic or as part of the plastered wall finishes
HOW TO SPECIFY
Powershield LPS Level 4 Security door(s) supplied (and installed) by Powershield, to suit a structural opening ______mm wide x ______mm high (extruded aluminium threshold and seals etc. if required) and standard hardware. For special hardware requirements, include manufacturer’s details.
