Bachelor Thesis

I produced an online marketing plan for startup company fifty100.com, an online music distributor and social networking website. This work was carried out over a period of six months, in which I essentially conducted online market research, upon which recommendations were made as to which online platforms and tools were to be used for their online marketing activity.

September 2010 Role: Web Editor / Content Manager

Autorati was founded in 2004 as an online car rental company. In 2009 the company changed direction towards social online networking, completely re-launching the site and changing the entire structure and content. During my studies I worked on this project filling the site with content and restructuring the site to suit the new target audience.

July 2008 – July ’09 LA2DAY Magazine, Los Angeles, USA

Role: Writer/Editor & Online Marketeer

Initially my role was focused on online marketing however I quickly carved a position for myself in the editorial team. After a short spell I also became associate editor for the music section of the magazine. My daily activities consisted mainly of selecting articles and content, editing content, building relationships with record labels and publicists to source content. I was often able to visit events, festivals and concerts to conduct interviews with artists of many genres and write reviews.

My responsibilities consisted mainly of first line communications relating to sales, distribution and logistics in the retail sector.

Responsibilities included providing training for sales agents working on behalf of American express. As part of a small team the majority of time was spent monitoring sales and ensuring consistent quality in the sales made throughout the company.

Responsibilities included providing support to sales teams working for Foxtel. This meant liaising with door-to-door salespeople, telemarketers, highstreet retailers and promotional events led by the company.
