Vacancy Announcement

National Consultant - Scientific editor of translated early childhood education textbooks

  1. Background

Since 2014 UNICEF has been supporting Ilia State University in revising in-service training program and developing a bachelor level program for early childhood educators. Lack of high quality up to date professional literature was identified as a major gap hindering the process of launching a full-fledged university program. To address this issue in 2015 with UNICEF’s technical assistance several books were identified to be translated in Georgian language. As part of the initiative following three publications were translated into Georgian language:

The translations require to be reviewed by national education/child development expert for editing the Georgian version of the text for accuracy of the technical language used in the field of early childhood education and development. After completion of scientific editing, the books will be prepared for publication, print and distribution to the universities and libraries throughout Georgia.
