  • Board proposes a Princeton Community gathering at the August Novice tournament; Vendor trade shows would be scheduled and City of Princeton officials would be invited. The Board voted unanimously to charge a Vendor trade show fee to help cover costs of event. The fee will be proposed as a “contribution” and would be mainly to provide food and drinks.
  • Kooda Associates recently sent an unsolicited email advertising his Landscape and Dock building services. The Board voted to ban this type of advertising.
  • Begin draft of By-laws; Gordon Hall previously submitted draft of By-laws for Princeton Lakes POA, Inc. The Board will review draft and discuss amendments/additions at next meeting; Robin to email copy.
  • Wakeboarders at Princeton Lakes POA, represented by Robin and Erik Trickel are proposing two tourneys in 2001. Each would be one day and would not be on the same weekend as AWSA tourneys. The Board must verify the maximum number of events allowed in the CC&R’s. Robin was also voted in as Wakeboard Chair. She will need to form committee and propose specific tourney dates to the Board for approval.

V.P. and Architectural Control Committee Report

  • Various owners have voiced a desire to lay a temporary driveway in order to access dock during rainy periods. With more than 200’ between road and dock the owner is very inconvenienced to walk with gear out to dock. Richard informed Board members the restrictions for temporary driveways found in the CC&R’s. The wording is relatively clear and would require a change to the CC&R’s to allow temporary driveways. The Board voted 4:1 to leave restriction unchanged.

Treasurer’s Report

  • In reference to vendor advertising, the Board voted unanimously to begin development of a website for Princeton Lakes POA; vendors and owners would be allowed to advertise; modest fees would be charged to cover costs and maintenance of site. A committee should be formed to develop the site. The committee would be responsible to communicate progress to the Board. Development, startup and monthly fees to be identified.
  • 2000 Taxes – Robin informed the Board the request by Gordon to have Princeton Lakes POA pay taxes starting in July when he considered the development “substantially complete” as the first lot closed. The Board voted 4:1 to have Gordon pay taxes through July 2000 at which time Princeton Lakes POA will begin making payments.

Lake Operations Report

  • Summer of 2000 saw many new owners on the lake with many more wakeboarders as well as families with very limited tournament lake experience. The result was a number of buoys dislodged or damaged. Also the potential for injury to wakeboarders, trick skiers and tubers is increased with all slalom course buoys in place. A proposal was voiced to remove all slalom course buoys on Lake 1 to allow a more recreational lake environment. The Board voted 4:1 to removed the slalom and trick course buoys from Lake 1 after temperatures increase and skiing begins for the new year – probably in March.
  • Hand out survey @ February meeting on ski preferences.
