Grading:

______points received______= % = grade

total points possible

You will receive point for:

·  Quizzes (I always announce them ahead of time)

·  Tests (I always announce them ahead of time)

·  Projects (You will have a rubric)

·  Notebook (graded once a semester)

Effort. Your effort grade is based on:

·  Oral class work (effort and willingness to speak French)

·  Cooperation (we do a lot of small group work)

·  Homework always done on time

·  Seek extra help when needed

·  Materials always ready and available

Effort grades mean the following

1.  Exceptional. You go above and beyond and push yourself to be the best student you can. You are always prepared and are a leader.

2.  Exceeds expectations. You are consistently prepared for class; you come for extra help when you need it without me chasing you; you participate well and often; you are a leader.

3.  Meets expectations. You come prepared most of the time; you participate in class, you behave well; your effort is just what I’d like

4.  Needs improvement. You are often unprepared for class; you misbehave sometimes and I have to talk to you about it; you need extra help but don’t seek it; or you could be a stronger student but you’re just not trying that hard.

5.  Fails to meet expectations. You are rarely prepared for class; you are disruptive; or you demonstrate no desire to do better.
