NET MINISTRIES – 20TH ANNIVERSARY GALA (JUNE 4, 2015)

NET Canada invites you to join them in celebrating 20 years of bringing youth to Christ on Thursday, June 4th in Ottawa. Celebrations begin with a public mass at 5:00pm at the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Gala will be at the Ottawa Conference & Events Centre with a cocktail hour at 6:00pm, dinner & program with guest speaker to follow at 7:00pm. YOUTH MINISTRY APPRECIATION DINNER – Thursday, June 18 @ 5pm

Save the date for our annual Youth Ministry Appreciation Dinner held at the Diocesan Centre for all those involved in Youth Ministry and the Youth Ministry Commission.Invitation were emailed out at the beginning of May. Youth Ministers - please share with your youth ministry volunteers that are regularly working with you in youth ministry. Any questions please contact me.

STEUBENVILLE TORONTO YOUTH CONFERENCE – August 7-9

All ready to go this summer! Final payments are almost all in. Some teens still have to register online. Nadia will follow up with them in the next week.

SHINE LIKE THE SON YOUTH CONFERENCE – Sat. October 17

The website has been updated for our upcoming Shine Like The Son Youth Conference.
Judy McDonald is our keynote this year – she is a Catholic comedian from California
If you know of some high school teens that would make great youth leaders for this year’s conference please direct them to the website where there is a Youth Leadership tab and / or have them contact me.

NET RETREATS 2015-16

FORMING INTENTIONAL DISCIPLES WORKSHOP (SAT. NOV 28, 2015)

The Youth Office, along with the Deaconate Program and St. Mary’s Cathedral will be hosting this one-day workshop on Forming Intentional Disciples. A day focused on our personal relationship with Jesus and evangelizing to others based on Sherry Weddell’s book “Forming Intentional Disciples”. Deacon Mark Cesnik from the St. Catherine of Siena Institute that Weddell founded will be facilitating this awesome day! $30 registration fee, includes lunch. To register contact Nadia by phone or email. An awesome day for parents, parish volunteers, and especially those in youth ministry!
Being held at McKinley Hall in Providence Spirituality Centre. 9 am – 4pm.

World Youth Day Polish Fundraiser Dinner Dance (Sat. June 6, 2015)
“Cooking with the Saints” Cookbook will be available THIS JUNE!
Taize Prayer Evening – Friday, July 24 @ 8pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral. All are welcome.

CATHOLIC COMEDY EVENING & CHRISTIAN MUSIC CONCERT – Oct 17th, 2015 @ 7pm

As part of our World Youth Day faith formation the 30 pilgrims attending will be hosting a faith evening of fun and praise. Judy McDonald, Catholic Comedian will be speaking on Sat. Oct 17th for adults at Holy Cross Secondary School - 7 pm. Christian music artist Chris Bray & Band will be leading praise and worship music and performing a concert after the talk. Attached to this email is the “LifeteenLiturgy Planning Guide”. In this pdf there are music suggestions, homily suggestions and prayers of the faithful suggestions that are relevant to youth for Sunday liturgies. I hope you find this helpful especially if you are a priest, deacon or music minister using contemporary Catholic music (CCLI License, Choose Christ, Spirit & Song, etc) for masses or retreats.

HOLY SPIRIT / CONFIRMATION RESOURCE

The Wild Goose project by Franciscan Fr. Dave Pivonka. A 14 part video series released online for FREE as well as for purchase on DVD. Each 20 segment will consist of Fr. Dave speaking on an attribute of the Holy Spirit, a practical application on how to respond to the Holy Spirit and testimonies of people from across the country whose lives have been impacted by the Spirit of God.
