Create a Powerpoint that contains the following slides:

Slide 1: Title (5 points, Both partners)

Information: Name of the hero

Picture: Include three pictures / art depictions of the hero

Slide 2: Geography (10 points, Partner 1)

Information: Where is this hero from? Do not just state the region. What town is the hero from? What country is that town in today?

Picture: Map of the region / country in relation to the rest of the world

Slide 3: Historical Context (10 points, Partner 2)

Information: What was going on in that country / region at the time the myth was created? Who was the ruler or king? What kind of governmental system did they have? What were the living conditions for the people?

Slide 4: Cultural Information (10 points, Partner 1)

Are there any cultural beliefs and information we need to know in order to understand the story? (This includes religious beliefs, cultural values, the roles of men and women)

How did the culture view the roles of men and women?

How did the gods interact with humans?

How did the people view death?

Slide 5: Summary of the myth (10 points, Partner 2)

Information: Summarize the myth. Explain what happened as if you were explaining it to someone who was not familiar with the story. What would they need to know in order to not miss any important details?

Each partner will be scored on the content ofhisor her designated slides.

Oral presentation

Partners should take turns presenting the material.

Overall appearance of the presentation

The presentation should be neat and colorful.

The presentation should not be cluttered.

Graphics and photographs should enhance the presentation.

Grammar, Spelling

There should not be any grammatical or spelling errors.

Summarization / Paraphrasing

You should not copy / paste any material

The information should not be excessively wordy

The information should be presented in concise, bullet points
