My Practice is Registered and I’m Enrolled! Now What?

…in 3 Easy Steps

  1. Staff needs to take the training and get certified and it only takes 30-45 minutes!

Here is how:

  • Choose a week and schedule each staff member to spend 45 minutes on the training. This will happen once per Dream cycle. (3x/year)
  • Orgo through the training as a group at a staff meeting. At the end of the meeting, send each staff member to a computer to complete the test. (You can train as a group but each staff member needs to log in individually in order to get certified)
  • Ororder in lunch and have your staff complete The Optical Dream℠ training over the lunch hour.
  • Training can be done 24/7 (even on mobile)
  1. Enter The Optical Dream℠ points – how:
  • Participants can keep the entry page open all day on the computer and enter as the sale happens.(This is the process that is working best in most of the practice participating.) (Save The Optical Dream℠ dashboard as one of the favorites in your internet browser)(use the tracking form - )
  • Participants can enter sales while waiting on the phone for insurance verifications (smart!!!)
  • Or participants can take a few minutes at the end of their daily shift to enter the sales (some add to “favorites” tab)
  • Or participants can take an hour (start with this as an amount of time to set aside, adjust for your practice as you go) at the end of each week to enter jobs.
  • Or enter transactions during off-peak times.
  1. Doctors approve/verify jobs and assign spins to staff – how:
  • Doctor will get an email to confirm eyewear sales (optician/tech/other staff can print a list daily or weekly from your software system or doctor can use the daily schedule as a guide). Once sales are approved, the system generates spins in the doctor’s dashboard. Doctor assigns spins to staff from the dashboard.
  • Doctor can keep his/her The Optical Dream℠ dashboard open; approval requests will show up on the dashboard.
  • Doctor sets a personal alert on his/her phone as a reminder to approve points each week
  • Any points that are not approved by the doctor will automatically be approved Saturday evening by The Optical Dream℠ system.
