The Lots of Fun evening will include many fun games and activities. Plan for

the entire family to attend this school fund-raiser!

We will be formally introducing the

letters of the alphabet beginning

the last week of Sept. The first letter we will introduce will be the letter "P". Please help your child look for the letter "Pp" in print as well as talk about the sound the letter "P" makes.

We will also be introducing "Visual Phonics" which is a kinesthetic way to introduce the letter sound. Ask your child to show you how to make the sign for the "P". Additionally, we will continue to focus on the letters in each child’s name. Please work with your child on recognizing the letters in their first name and if they are ready, the letters in their last name.

Our lessons are from Phonics Curriculum by Fountas and Pinnell.

Every Day Math (EDM) activities were started the first week of school. Look for Parent/Child Home Links to enhance your child's education through home activities! (These will be coming home weekly in your child's daily folder.)

We have started a music curriculum titled: Spotlight on Music and will begin Health and Fitness Curriculum by Harcourt.
