Multi Media Producer/Media Specialist (Full-time)

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a full-time Multi Media Producer/Media Specialist in its Community & College Relations department. This person will be responsible for supporting the college in its internal and external communication efforts primarily through the implementation of well-produced video. This position is non-exempt/Full-time

Responsibilities:

·  Directs and produces videos for use by college management and personnel in support of training,

marketing, recruiting, and customized customer presentations;

·  Provides editing and postproduction services for the development of training, marketing and

informational videos;

·  Works with clients to discuss the script, overall needs of the project and scheduling of shoots;

·  Serves as camera operator for field production, studio production, and documentary purposes;

·  Performs and edits digital audio recordings of narration for both video and multimedia (Power Point or equivalent) presentations;

·  Update and maintain all online videos on YouTube, Facebook and the school’s website;

·  Maintains and ensures the effective operation of all video production and audio-visual equipment

and supplies;

·  Coordinates general media requests such as video duplication, production assistance, photographic

services, presentation assistance and digital imaging;

·  Provides support in the maintenance, care and/or storage of production equipment, lighting

instruments, computer systems, and associated tools.

·  Creates and/or maintains an accurate inventory of all production equipment

Minimum Qualifications

·  Associates Degree in a related field (Note: Experience may be substituted for degree on a year by year basis. If applicant does not have a college degree, it is expected that he or she complete one within the first three years of employment.)

·  Minimum of three years of field-related work experience

·  Industry knowledge and experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or equivalent), HD videography, audio mixing

·  Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud

·  Experience using Mac and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications & Competencies

·  Working knowledge of videography, lighting and audio recording

·  Strong design and branding knowledge

·  Great oral, written communication and listening skills

·  Storyboarding and script-writing knowledge

·  Ability to work with WordPress or any other Content Management System (CMS)

·  Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS

·  Social Media administration/knowledge

·  Ability to produce effective, high quality videos

·  Thrives in a deadline-driven environment

·  Strong work ethic with initiative and enthusiasm

·  Creative thinker and problem solver

·  Flexibility a must

·  Strong team player

Salary/Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, and sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
